The Detroit Free Press offered 5 things to watch for in tonight's Lions/Patriots match up, including the very fact that Louis Delmas will be on the field: "Louis Delmas barely has practiced as the Lions try to get his balky left knee ready for the grind of the season. He said he wants on the field tonight, but that’s a risk the Lions might not be willing to take."
The Detroit News has 5 players in positional battles for you to keep an eye on, including TE Tony Scheffler: "It’s easy to read into Scheffler’s playing time — three snaps — last week against the Browns, but there were a couple of legitimate reasons he was limited. First, the Lions have seen what Scheffler can do. Second, Scheffler and WR Ryan Broyles likely won’t be on the field together, and the team instead decided to see what Broyles could do. The other reason, though, may be a sign of the team’s waning interest in Scheffler."
ESPN's Kevin Seifert says to keep an eye on the Lions WR unit with or without Megatron tonight: "Whether or not receiver Calvin Johnson (knee) plays, the Lions need to establish their receiver pecking order behind him. Is Patrick Edwards really ready for regular playing time? Are they fully satisfied with the health of Nate Burleson and Ryan Broyles?"
