Michigan State held a closed scrimmage over the weekend and according to reports, the Spartan defense "won" based on an adjusted scoring system. Matt Charboneau from the Detroit News reported that the Spartan's QBs played well though, "combining to go 37 for 55 for 479 yards and four touchdowns. Andrew Maxwell was 13 for 21 for 171 yards while connecting with Macgarrett Kings Jr. for a 19-yard touchdown. Sophomore Connor Cook, who is putting the most pressure on Maxwell, was 13 for 18 for 133 yards."
Most State fans aren't worried about the defense as long as Pat Narduzzi stays at the helm. The man just keeps cranking out NFL level talent from the program and buzz for individual awards for his players yearly. The concern for most Spartan supporters is the QB position and reading that all the options at QB played well on Saturday is encouraging. So MSU fans, who would you rahter see start: Andrew Maxwell or Connor Cook?
