As expected, the Tigers made Jhonny Peralta active now that his 50-game suspension has been served.
And as rumored, Peralta will start in left field for Friday night's game against the Marlins in Miami.
According to the Freep's George Sipple, Peralta will play in left field during all three games in Miami this weekend.
As for Miguel Cabrera, count him in:
Cabrera wanted to play tonight, Leyland said. "He wants to play," he said, "and I'm not going to not play him if he wants to play."— Jason Beck (@beckjason) September 27, 2013
Beck further tweeted that Cabrera said with four days off between end of regular season and start of ALDS, he doesn't want too much time off this weekend.
And, as expected the Tigers announced that Rick Porcello will pitch from the bullpen during the postseason.
